Prathinidhi, UJ, DFD Set To Clash With Dhoom 3, Biriyani At Box Office
Christmas is another big festival in India, and Tollywood has often
treated the viewers some big ticket movies during this season. But
surprisingly, there are no big movies from this industry this year. A
few small budget Telugu films like Uyyala Jampala (UV), Prathinidhi and D
for Dopidi (DFD) are set to rock the viewers this Christmas. Slated to
hit the screen on December 20, they will clash with two much-awaited
non-Telugu films like Dhoom 3 and Biriyani at the Box Office.

Nagarjuna's Uyyala Jampala is a family drama. Set against the backdrop
of a small village called Koonavaram in Andhra Pradesh, the story of the
movie is all about fun and emotions of a young couple. Balika Vadhu
fame actress Avika Gor and Raj Tarun are making their acting debut with
this film, which is directed by debutant Virinchi Varma. Its promos have
added lot of hype for the movie.
Directed by Siraj Kalla, D for Dopidi is comedy entertainer staring
Varun Sandesh, Sundeep Kishen, Naveen, Rakesh and Melanie Kannokada in
the leads. The movie, which is produced by Go Goa Gone fame Raj Nidimoru
and Krishna DK, has created headlines for several good reasons.
Especially, its promos have created lot of curiosity among the film
goers, who are eagerly waiting to watch it soon.
Prathinidhi, which is directed by debutant Prashanth Mandava, is a
political drama featuring actor Nara Rohith and Shubra Aiyappa in the
leads. Nara Rohith's look and dialogue diction featured in the trailer
of the film have made the viewers wait with bated breath for the release
of the movie. Experts from film nagar claim that this film will give a
big break to Nara Rohith at the Box Office.
All these Telugu films are small budget movies and feature budding
actors in the leads. Meanwhile, Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3 and Karthi's
Biriyani, which are highly-talked about and most-anticipated movies of
the year, are releasing in large number of screen with Telugu version in
the state. Trade analysts feel that they will surely take a toll on the
business of these Telugu movies.
